European community of values ECCIA
10th September 2019, Frankfurt. The Meisterkreis proudly takes over the "ECCIA Presidency 2020". The European Cultural and Creative Industries Alliance (ECCIA) consists out of five European cultural and creative organizations - Altagamma (Acqua di Parma, Brunello Cucinelli, Fendi, Gucci, etc.), Circulo Fortuny (Loewe, Museo del Prado, etc.), Comité Colbert (LVMH, Hermès, etc.), Meisterkreis (Porsche, Leica, Iris v. Arnim, etc.) and Walpole (Alexander McQueen, Molton Brown, Yoox, etc.). Representing more than 600 brands and cultural institutions from 14 different high-end product and service markets, they make up approximately 80% of the global high-end market.
Members of the MEISTERKREIS as Dr. Andreas Kaufmann (Leica), Markus Benz (Walter Knoll), Stefan Hämmerle (Swarovski Optic), Wolfgang Kettnaker (Kettnaker), Gerhard Steidl (Steidl Verlag), Robert Zimmermann (Berliner Philharmoniker - Digital Concert Hall), Axel and Susann Meise (Occhio ), Florian Kohler (Gmund), Marco Tümmler (Gaggenau), Fritz Unützer (Unützer), Christian von Daniels (Van Laack) discussed joint projects within the presidency. The crucial question: "What could the brands and companies do for Europe in terms of transnational exchanges and the promotion of young talents". The value chains of the future will be less vertical and more and more horizontal. Therefore, it becomes increasingly important that more collaborations and exchanges take place, in order to learn from each other. A prerequisite is that we share the same values and pursue an uncompromising quality standard.
In the evening, the members attended the International Automotive Show IAA. Powerful, fast, superior - just like the presentation of the new Porsche Taycan. The goal of the evening was the soul search of the brand in the age of electrification: Soul electrified.
