Wunderkammer
August 10, 2015: Berlin. The winners of the “Wunderkammer” competition were announced on Monday at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). Students of architecture were asked develop concepts which were as flexible as possible whilst still retaining a high level of sophistication. The finished models were then evaluated by the jury, consisting of Prof. Dr. Norbert Palz and Stephanie Eickelmann (both teaching in the field of Digital and Experimental Design at UdK), Karin Graf (Graf & Frey, Kultur- und Konzeptagentur, Berlin) and Clemens Pflanz (MEISTERKREIS). Due to the extremely high quality of the students’ work, two concepts were awarded first place.
Hanna Dudkiewicz, honoured with first place, received a Leica C ROT camera. Benedikt Breitenhuber, Ricarda Hartmann and Maxie Schneider, who also were honoured with first place, were each awarded a Thonet “Bugholzstuhl” chair. Second place winners Bertram von Fritsch and Benjamin Hummel each received the Farber-Castell 120 Wood Box Set.
